The challenge is to use black and white, with a pop of color. I bet you're wondering how I came up with this for a challenge. One of my favorite sites is A Creative Mint. If you've never visited this site, I highly recommend it. Lesley has great photographs for color inspirations if you're ever in a creative rut!! Here is the picture that inspired this challenge...
I love pink, however, I didn't want to limit those who didn't also love pink to using it. So I made this challenge one that you could use any color, so long as the base was black & white. I had so much fun making the orignial card for this challenge that I made a set of three. I featured one over at the playhouse blog, but I wanted to share all three with supply lists here.
This was the first card I made once I came up with the challenge idea (and the card featured over at the playhouse blog). I used a white base with Damask Designs for a background. You can see the hint of Raspberry Fizz on the Fillable Frames #8 label (not to mention the button and ribbon).
And for the final card, I decided to change things up a bit. This time, I decided to do some white embossing on black cardstock.
I really enjoyed putting this challenge together and had a lot of fun making the cards!! I hope you get a chance to play along!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
